It is nearly sunrise.
The night is dark and the sky dusted with stars. People are packed around us by the hundred thousand, tripping and listening and talking and fucking and smoking and eating and waiting, waiting like we are. Waiting takes a long time. Waiting in the cold and the mud makes waiting worse, like a virus that you know will take time to fight off even when you remember what being better feels like and are ready for that feeling now. We are ready for the waiting to be over.
Some girl walked over to us and gave us flowers last night.
